2003
Pinot Noir
First Vintage
The 2003 growing season was an ideal year in the Russian River Valley with warm sunny days and cool nights yielding delicious fruit with wonderful depth for our first vintage. As ideal as the climate was, our location in the Russian River Valley and our soil make-up and terrain, along with the hand harvesting at the peak of maturity, allowed for luscious flavors with great concentration and perfumed aromas. The deep concentrated flavors of plum and black cherry make for a rich and ripe wine with a silky texture. The strong, ripe fruit seen in this vintage is on its way to develop with vine age to one with the earthier complexity of some older regions.

When you drink this wine you will experience a denser, richer, riper fruit as well as more volume, depth and power. The clonal blending has allowed for an elegant, full-bodied wine that can be paired easily with anything from grilled salmon to beef stew. Enjoying this release with a rich, triple crème cheese of a proscuito or duck risotto would capture its depth and richness. Enjoy its youthful charm and cellar a few bottles for the futures.
As Grape growers, there is nothing more rewarding than tending your fruit through to the its final expression as wine. We are not only proud to farm this incredible land, send our grapes to the best winemakers in the county, but now proud to offer our won 2003 release for your to enjoy.
